Life On A Star Conferences

Our Life On A Star (LOAS) conferences are associated with the Star Island Corporation. We hold two conferences each summer during the last two weeks of August. Below, you will find information regarding our two conferences that will be held in August 2008.

 Registration forms are included in the Blue Book which was mailed the beginning of January 2009 or you can download one from Star Island's website SIC registration form. Registration forms for LOAS I or II should be mailed to the LOAS conference registrar.

Lee Reid Scholarship Fund

*******  There are currently scholarships still available. To apply, complete a scholarship application and send to Sharon Kennedy - chair of the Scholarship Committee. In order to be considered for a scholarship, you must send in your registration form and deposit check to the LOAS Registrar, Patti Emmons.

In October 1993, the LOAS conference established a scholarship fund to provide families with financial assistance for their hotel bill. In October 1997, it was named the Lee Reid Scholarship Fund in honor of Rev. Lee Reid, a LOAS conferee who passed away that year. Currently, the scholarship committee has approval to grant scholarships to anyone who applies for a scholarship, with the maximum number of three scholarships given to any recipient. For more information on the LOAS scholarship program, contact Sharon Kennedy, chair of the scholarship fund.   To request a scholarship application contact  Patti Emmons. 

We are not able to give full scholarships, therefore we ask that when sending in your registration form you include a check for the hotel deposit and for the LOAS conference registration fee.

Scholarship requests must be received by April 15, 2009.

Contacting a LOAS conferee or LOAS guest on Star Island

You can contact a LOAS conferee or guest at Star Island between August 15 and August 29, 2009 in one of two ways:

1. Leave a message for that person with the Star Island hotel front desk (603-601-0832) or

2. Send an e-mail to the Star Island hotel at frontdesk@starisland.org

In either case, the message will be posted in the hotel lobby on the bulletin board located next to the front desk.
